The Go-to-Market & Product Manager is a dynamic role that combines the strategic and operational aspects of product management with the market-oriented focus of go-to-market strategies. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of a product, from conception and development to launch and market penetration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product development, marketing, and sales strategy, with a keen ability to analyze market trends and customer needs. Experience in SAP solutions, particularly in the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Management:
    • Lead the planning of new products or new product features in collaboration with Product Owner.
    • Work closely with engineering, consulting, managed services, and external resources (customers & partners) to bring products to market on schedule and within budget.
    • Define product roadmap and set clear, measurable objectives.
    • Align product roadmap and strategy with SAP O&G Product Management responsible.
    • Ensure product solutions align with industry standards and regulatory requirements specific to the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors.
    • Utilize extensive knowledge of SAP solutions, particularly within the context of the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors.
  2. Go-to-Market Strategy:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies for product launches, ongoing market development, and execution.
    • Collaborate with sales, marketing, consulting, and managed services to ensure cohesive and effective market entry and market development.
    • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to inform product positioning and pricing strategies.
    • Tailor go-to-market strategies to address the unique needs and challenges of the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors.
    • Leverage proficiency in relevant SAP modules.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Serve as the primary liaison between product owner (technical) and non-technical teams.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments to ensure alignment with business goals.
    • Organize and lead cross-functional teams through product development and launch processes (e.g., product development board).
    • Ensure teams are informed about sector-specific trends and technologies in the Oil & Gas and Energy industries.
    • Translate technical product details into benefits for the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors.
  4. Market Analysis & Feedback:
    • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
    • Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform future product enhancements.
    • Monitor and report on product performance, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
    • Utilize deep knowledge of SAP modules relevant to the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors
    • Experience with data analytics and the ability to leverage SAP analytics tools for market and product insights.
  5. Industry Knowledge & Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with the operational and regulatory environment of the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors.
    • Insight into industry-specific challenges and how SAP solutions can address these issues.
    • Awareness of emerging trends and technologies within the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and drive product initiatives from concept to market launch.
